Drumragh produced a real smash and grab at Clogher in the evening fixture when a last minute Forty five from Tommy Murphy sailed straight to the net to snatch a 1-14 to 1-12 win for the Sarsfields. A goal in the first half from P Mc Kernan helped to put Clogher 1-7 to 0-6 in front at the break. The Eire Ogs looked likely to hold on and win until Murphy’s last ditch forty five metre kick. The Drumragh forward finished with 1-8 to his name but it will be the match winning goal and the two points for winning the game that will have pleased him most.

Dregish lost out against Clan na Gael in a match where timely goals made all the difference. The Pearse Ogs had enjoyed a decent amount of possession throughout the game but even with Aidan O’Kane in fine scoring form they failed to capitalise on the number of opportunities they created. Sean O’Kane fisted to the net in the seventh minute for the winners  and Paddy Harkin bagged the all important second goal as Clan na Gael sought to build on their 1-4 to 0-6 halftime lead. Dregish made them fight all the way for their win but second half points from Danny Ball and Cathal Magill saw them home 2-7 to 0-7.

Rock maintained their good run of form defeating Aghaloo 1-14 to 0-06 on Sunday afternoon. Conor Mc Creesh [1-3} and Aidan Mc Garrity [0-6] top scored for the winners while Eamon Ward, Cathal Mc Williams, Liam Hoy and Karl Kolbohm all managed to find the target. Gary O’Gorman scored 0-5 for an Aghaloo outfit that found the going tough all afternoon.

Derrytresk made the short run across to Brocagh and came away with the points with Sean Slater’s second half goal proving decisive. Brocagh had led at the break 0-5 to 0-3 but once Derrytresk got their noses in front early in the second half they held on to their lead and won 1-9 to 0-9. Caolan Corr, Joe Mc Kee, Niall Gavin and Cathal O’Neill were the point scorers for the Men from the Hill. Ciaran Donnelly was responsible for five of his team’s points with Cathal Donnelly, Mickey Hughes, Donal Robinson and Sean Mc Fall scoring a point each.

Owen Roes had a rather easy win over Drumquin with their first half display putting the game beyond the Tones. The home side were 1-12 to 0-2 in front at the break with goalscorer Mark O’Neill joined on the score board by Brendan Boggs, Eamon Mc Bride and Ryan Mc Shane. Drumquin looked off the pace all afternoon hitting only five points in total with Frankie Mc Alynn and Jamsie Winters among their scorers. Cathal Mc Shane and Andy Devine  scored points for the winners in the second period as they eased to a 1-16 to 0-5 win.
