Aghaloo had a welcome win over Killyman on Saturday winning 2-15 to 1-15. In a tight match there was little between the teams throughout. Half time saw them tied 1-05 to 0-8 with aghaloo’s goal coming from Ruairi Mc Glone. Tiernan Donnelly got the O’Neills second goal from the penalty spot and finished top scorer with 1-06 while other scorers were Gary O’Gorman, G Daly, N Morrison, C Mullan, M Muldoon, and E Ward.

There was a closely fought north Tyrone derby between Clan na Gael and Castlederg on Saturday that went right to the wire before the Derg emerged narrow winners. In a closely fought first half Sean Harper top scored with four points for the visitors with other scores coming from Mark Corry and Brian Coyle but Clan na Gael reached the break three ahead.

The second half saw Clan na Gael move four in front with Conway and Ball prominent for them. Freddie Friel made a few switches for the Derg that saw them level the game with ten to go. The remainder of the match was nip and tuck before Paddy Lynch scored the winner from play after Clan na Gael had been reduced to fourteen men. Final score, Clan na Gael 0-13, Castlederg 0-14.

It was a real shoot out of the big hitters today at Glenmornan between Glenelly and Owen Roes as Seamus Harkin and Cathal Mc shane top scored for their respective teams. Harkin hit all ten of his team’s scores while former county minor Mc Shane landed 1-9 of the Roes 2-18 total.

Ryan Mc Aleer’s goal in the first half helped Owen Roes reach the break 1-6 to 0-5 in front with Mark Mc Aleer and Lornie Mc Crossan also on target for the winners. The second half continued in the same manner as Owen Roes produced a high scoring thirty minutes to run out 2-18 to 0-10 winners and with that another two very useful league points.

Other winners in Division Three this afternoon were Rock and Clogher. Rock hit four goals and six points in an exciting second half that saw them come back from eight points behind at the break to pip Beragh 4-12 to 2-12. Rock once again showed just why they are highly fancied to do well in Division Three this season with a 1-16 to 2-6 win over Derrytresk. Joe Mc Kee netted two penalties for The Hill Men but that was not enough to deny Rock a well deserved win. Conor Mc Creesh gave a masterclass in finishing with a personal tally of thirteen points. Michael Mc Elduff scored Rock’s goal while Karl Kolbohm and Aidan Mc Garrity hit points for the winners.

Fintona enjoyed a local derby win over Tattyreagh on a 4-14 to 2-8 score line. Aaron Mc Carney finished the day with a personal return of 1-6 while the other goals came from Paul Martin, Niall Mellon and Sonnie Mc Donagh.  County minors James Darcy and Eoghan Murray hit the net for the Tatts while Sean Gormley, Barry Montgomery and Colly Harkin were on target with points. However the Pearses were deserved tewelve point winners with Pauric Kelly, Niall Mellon, Paul Quinn and John Fitzpatrick among their point scorers.
