Drumquin dropped their first points of the season when they conceded a late goal against Urney to lose 3-11 to 2-12 after a hugely entertaining and sporting game. Jamie Mc Aleer was outstanding for Urney while Stephen Gormley, Pearse Mc Girr and sean Mc Donagh worked tirelessly for the Tones. Two goals early in the first half, from Jamie Mc Aleer and Jake Lafferty, helped Urney reach the break leading 2-6 to 1-4 but it was the last minute goal from Brian Kelly that ultimately decided the outcome. Sean Mc Donagh top scored with 0-5 for Drumquin while Eoin Poyntz (1-1), Benny Gormley (1-0), Oisin Mc Menamin 0-2, Ryan Mc Callion (0-2) and Niall Mc Alynn were also on target. Jamie Mc Aleer (1-6), Johnny Lafferty (0-3), Brian Kelly (1-1), Jake Lafferty (1-0) and Danny Lynch (0-1) accounted for the Urney scores.

Eskra overcame the challenge of Glenelly on Friday night with a 1-10 to 0-10 win. The Emmetts were four clear at the break and a Niall Marlowe goal early in the second half proved the decisive score as Eskra resisted a second half Glenelly revival to win by three. Scorers: Eskra. Niall Marlowe 1-2, Johnny Hackett (3), Paul Turbitt, Cathal Arkinson and Cathal Meegan (3). Glenelly: Cathal Nicholas (2), Seamus Harkin (6), Kevin Mc Connell and Cormac Mc Connell.

Castlederg saw off their north Tyrone neighbours Clan na nGael 3-11 to 0-16 in a high scoring  and entertaining game on Friday night. After CNG took the lead courtesy of points from Adrian Ball and Shea Browne the Derg hit 3-6 to take control of the game. Paddy Lynch netted the first before Darren Traynor and Connor Harper also bagged majors. Adam Traynor, Lynch and Patrick Porter tagged on points to put their team in a very strong position. Points from Danny Ball and Gareth Mc Dermott helped CNG recover somewhat and they reached the break trailing 3-6 to 0-6. Both sides swapped points after the break with Browne, Patrick Harkin, and Mc Dermott on target for CNG. However the Derg matched them score for score and in spite of a burst of late scoring from Gareth Mc Dermott and Danny Ball the Derg were comfortable winners on a final score of 3-11 to 0-16. Paddy Lynch, Conor Harper and Darren Traynor found the net for Castlederg while Mark Corry (6), Caolan Harvey, Sean Harper and Darren Traynor were also on target.

Kildress continued their fine run of form as they saw off the challenge of Brackaville 3-16 to 1-9. Goals from Mattie McGuigan, Eoin Brannigan and Adam Connolly helped secure another two points for the Wolfe Tones. mc Guigan finished with 1-7 while Caolan Mc Namee, Martin Grimes, Corey Holland, Stephen Loughran and Shea Murphy were among the points. Ronan Mc Hugh, Dale Mc Sorley, Marty Gervin, Stefan Gervin and Sean Mc Nally all hit points for the Roes while Ruairi Mc Elhatton got their goal.

Neighbours Derrytresk and Killyman played out a hard fought draw on Friday night which finished Killyman 1-7, Derrytresk 0-10. The Hill Men bounced back from a missed Niall Gavin penalty to lead by two after ten minutes. Killyman found the net through Enda Mc Gahan to move one in front and both sides traded points to reach the break with the score line reading 1-4 to 0-4 in favour of Killyman. Once again Niall Gavin (9) was to the fore for Derrytresk with Eoghan Mc Nally getting their other point. Derrytresk scored their equalising point deep in injury time to rescue a point. Enda Mc Gahan (1-4), Michael Donnelly (2) and Adam Roche did the scoring for Killyman.

Shane Cleary and Cathal Starrs both scored eight points for their respective sides as Drumragh saw off the challenge of neighbours Fintona 1-15 to 0-10. A Shane Devine goal helped the winners move 1-3 to no score ahead before Fintona opened their account with a converted free from Starrs. Fintona added five further  unanswered points to tie the game but Drumragh finished the half on top to lead 1-7 to 0-6 with late scores from Tommy Mullin and Malachy Mc Manus. Conor Mc Golderick and Cathal Starrs shared the scoring for the Pearses after the break but with Shane Cleary, Malachy Mc Manus, Aaron Montgomery and Shane Devine in fine form the Sarsfields earned a deserved win.

Brocagh recorded their first victory of the season on Thursday night with a narrow 0-9 to 0-8 win over Errigal Thirds. The teams were tied 0-6 apiece at the break with Daniel Deehan, Mickey Hughes (3) Paddy Canavan and Tiernan O’Neill on target for the Emmetts. Pascal Donnelly, Barry Donnelly, Emmett Hackett (2) and Robert Harper did the scoring for Errigal. The second half was a low scoring affair with Pascal Donnelly getting his second point for the Dunmoyle side while Ronan Tierney also found the target. However they were pipped at the post by their opponents who had Aaron Convery and Pearse Mc Aliskey in top form as points from Owen Canavan, Mickey Hughes and Donal Robinson secured the win for Brocagh.
