Castlederg suffered a heart breaking 1-14 to 1-11 defeat away to Brockagh this evening in a high scoring and entertaining game. An early Mark Corry goal put them in a strong position and they reached the break 1-05 to 0-5 ahead. Indeed the Derg led by seven points in the second half at one stage and were still in front until five minutes to go but down to 14 men they slipped to defeat. Scorers for the Derg were Mark Corry 1-7, Ciaran Harpur, Kevin Connolly and Tony Breen 0-1 apiece.

Drumragh and Fintona played out a hard fought local derby at Clanabogan before the Pearses greater composure and finishing power edged it in their favour. Jason Donnelly hit 1-2 in the opening half to give his side the lead and with Aaron Mc Carney (0-4)in fine scoring form in the second half they never looked in trouble. A Niall Mellon goal midway through the second half ended the game as a contest and although Marty Taggart and Gavin Quinn did their best to keep Drumragh in it Fintona were deserving 2-10 to 0-12 winners. Mc Carney top scored for Fintona with 0-6 while Jason Donnelly and Niall Mellon hit 2-3 between them.

Brackaville continued their good run of form and their 100% record this year following a 2-10 to 1-05 win over Clogher. The home side took a while to settle and were somewhat wasteful in attack during the first half failing to convert numerous one on one chances plus several missed free kicks. However a Cahir Mc Guinness goal and scores from Gary Ferguson, Che O’Donnell, Sean Corr and Marty Girvan put them in control approaching the break. Clogher then converted a penalty to give them hope as the game reached half time.the score at the break was 1-5 to 1-1 in favour of Brackaville.

The home side continued to dominate after the break and an early Marty Girvan goal finished the game as a contest. Clogher continued to battle throughout the second half but Brackaville cantered to a 2-10 to 1-5 win to maintain their position at the top of the league. Their closest rivals Dungannon Clarkes made good use of the elements against Tattyreagh to race into a 2-5 to no score lead fifteen minutes into their game at Tattyreagh. The home side did recover somewhat to make a game of it in the second half but The Clarkes greater quality ensured they also maintained their promising start and 100% record in the league with a 2-9 to 1-6 win. Stefan McKenna and Colm Corrigan got the goals for the joint leaders with Keifer Morgan,Matthew Walsh and Patrick Quinn featuring among the points.

Cathal Nicholas, Ciaran Carney, Ronan O’Kane and Kevin McCullagh got the Glenelly goals as they secured a shock but fully merited win at home to Killyman on a 4-8 to 3-8 score line.
