Aghaloo produced a solid team display to take the two points at Tattyreagh this afternoon with county minors Tiarnan Donnelly and Ruairi Mc Glone bagging seven points between them while Gary O’Gorman’s goal proved crucial in the final outcome. The Tatts were two behind at the break with Collie Harkin, Kevin Gallagher and Conor Taggart among their scorers but they could not prevent the visitors from taking home the points.

Fintona and Killeeshil played out an entertaining 1-9 to 1-9 draw in their division three fixture on Sunday. The visitors produced an impressive first half with Gary Reilly(1-2) and Shane Mallon (0-2) leading the way as they reached the break 1-7 to 0-7 ahead. Fintona produced a much better second half to restrict their opponents to two second half points but even with Killeeshil reduced to fourteen men the Pearses could not muster the winning score. Relentless pressure and missed chances were the order of the closing ten minutes as Killeeshil held out for a hard earned draw. Aaron Mc Carney(0-2), Tom Mc Grath (0-3), Jason Donnelly (0-1), Bernard Cassidy (0-1), Conor Mc Goldrick (1-0) and Aidan Quinn (0-1) were the Fintona scorers on a day when they will look back and wonder how they failed to win this one.

Castlederg endured a third defeat in a row to league leaders Loughmacrory by 2-9 to 0-6 on Sunday, in a game that was within the home team’s grasp until the final ten minutes when the visitors scored 1-2 without reply. The Derg team got off to a good start with a point from play from Steafan Gallen followed by a Mark Corry pointed free. They were dominant at this stage but failed to convert  this dominance into scores. Loughmacrory finally got on the score sheet just after the twenty minute mark with a well worked goal, and they followed up with a pointed free.  Castlederg lost their centre half back to a straight red card on twenty five minutes but rallied and Mark Corry closed the first half scoring with another free to leave the half time score Castlederg 0-3 Loughmacrory 1-1. The visitors got immediately into their stride early and tacked on 2 points. Mark Corry added a point for the Derg from a free, but once again the visitors struck for two more points to their tally. Another Corry point for the Derg was met with two similar scores from the Lough. Caolan Harvey fought his way through for a point from play to reduce the margin to 4 points. At this stage Loughmacrory struck for their second goal and this finally killed the game off as a contest, although the Derg men stuck to their task to the bitter end.
