Edendork moved back joint top of the table after winning 0-13 to 1-5 away to Aghyaran. County attacker Martin Penrose scored 1-2 for the St.Davogs but on the day it wasn’t enough with County minor Darren McCurry hitting eight points for the visitors.
Clann na Gael experienced little difficulty in winning at Killyman but the victory may have come at a cost with county captain Brian Dooher having to go off injured in the second half with a suspected broken jaw. Stephen O’Neill top scored for the visitors including a goal from the penalty spot with Gareth McDermott getting their other major as they won 2-19 to 1-5, Enda McGahan with the St.Marys’ goal.
Galbally played host to Strabane in a championship dress rehearsal and the Pearses eased to a comfortable victory. The home side led 0-7 to 0-4 at the break with Mickey Murphy, Paul Rafferty and Aidan O’Hagan among their points, John Paul Gallagher and Kyle Devine with Strabane scores. In the second half it was all one way traffic with Paddy Rafferty getting a goal and Murphy adding another major as the hosts won 2-17 to 0-5. Diarmuid McNulty scored three goals for Gortin in their 3-14 to 0-7 victory over Eskra while Kevin Mossey and Michael Mossey notched nine points between them for the winners. Joe McCarroll top scored for the well beaten Emmetts with three points.
