Loughmacrory enjoyed a share of the spoils with Rock following this entertaining 0-8 to 0-8 draw. However it took a top class double save from goalkeeper Oisin O’Kane late in the game to ensure the Loch lads took something from the match. Rock forward Eamon Ward was denied what looked like a certain goal.

Martin Mc Creesh was the main man in terms of scores for the home side with 0-7. Four of these points came in the opening half and helped Rock reach the break leading 0-5 to 0-3.

The half time break allowed Loughmacrory to reorganise and they were much improved after the break. Points from Pauric Meenagh (2), Stevie Donaghy and Cathal Donaghy moved Loughmacrory one point clear but Rock refused to give up.

Mc Creesh converted two further frees to put Rock back in front before Meenagh landed his third free of the half to level the game.

Final Score: Rock 0-8, Loughmacrory 0-8.

Aghyaran got the better of their north Tyrone neighbours Castlederg winning 1-9 to 1-5 in their derby clash on Sunday. A huge crowd witnessed a competitive and hard fought game where Aghyaran’s greater experience proved decisive. Despite having a penalty brilliantly saved by Derg keeper Chrissy Catterson, Ronan Mc Hugh top scored for the winners with 1-3 while Ronan Mc Namee (0-2) was also on target for the winners. Worthy of special mention mind you was Aghyaran goalkeeper Benny Gallen who converted three long range frees for his team.Sean Meehan got the Derg’s goal while Mark Corry and Sean Harper  shared the points on a day when John Harvey of the Derg was the standout man.

Gortin got their season back on track with a comfortable 1-10 to 0-5 win over a disappointing Cookstown side.

A low scoring first half saw Gortin reach the break 0-4 to 0-1 ahead with Eoghan Mc Garvey and Matthew Carberry on target for their respective sides. Carberry (3) and Brian Mulligan added second half points for the Fr Rocks but their lack of scoring threat told as the home side took over and won at a canter.

Eoghan Mc Garvey converted a penalty early in the second half and along with Brian Mc Garvey and Shane Clarke eased their team to victory.

Final Score: Gortin 1-10, Cookstown 0-5.

Derrylaughan and Aghaloo produced a high scoring and very entertaining game that saw the Kevin Barrys run out 1-18 to 1-13 winners.

After a competitive opening thirty minutes points from Rory Mc Glone, Niall Mc Elroy and Tiaran Donnelly had Aghaloo in a strong position. Derrylaughan’s Fergal Mc Aliskey missed a penalty as the teams reached the break separated by two with Aghaloo leading 0-8 to 0-6.

Derrylaughan were the dominant side after the break with Tomas Carney, Liam Girvan and Mc Aliskey all on target for the winners but it was a Paul Donnelly fisted effort that helped ease the Barrys to the win.

Eglish defeated Stewartstown 0-10 to 0-6 having led at the break 0-8 to 0-1. Peter Mc Cann, Ryan Mc Kenna and Sean Mc Killion were on target for the winners while Gareth Devlin weighed in with three points for the Harps after Anton Coyle had got their only first half score.

Augher recovered from a disappointing first half to comprehensively defeat Kildress with second half goals from Eoin Keenan and Aidan Cassidy proving decisive. Daire Cavanagh was in fine scoring form hitting 0-7 while team mate Liam Connolly also bagged 0-3. On a disappointing day for Kildress Caolan Mc Namee got their goal while Philip Lennon was responsible for most of their points.

Eskra got their first points of the season when they inflicted a first defeat of the campaign on Moy. Peter Hughes and Joe McCarroll contributed five points each for the Emmetts with Tyrone Captain Sean Cavanagh hitting 1-4 for the hosts with Eunan Deeney getting a couple.

Dungannon made home advantage count with an impressive win over previously unbeaten Moortown. Matthew Walsh and Patrick Quinn got first half goals for the Clarkes with Dalaigh Jones bagging two majors after the break. Tony Quinn top scored for the St.Malachys with Conan McLernon getting their goal.
