Leaders Galbally dropped their first point of the campaign when it finished all square against Augher at Hurson Park. Raymond McElroy got an early goal for the visitors but Galbally hit back to take he lead with points from Paul Rafferty and Conor Donaghy. The rest of the half though belonged to the St.Macartans as Darragh Kavanagh banged in a goal as well as a few points to leave them 2-6 to 0-5 in front at the break. The Pearses were in trouble but they dug deep in the second half to close the gap with scores from Ronan Nugent, Donaghy and Liam Rafferty. McElroy had a brace for Augher and with time virtually up Kieran Holland fired the ball to the net as it finished 1-12 to 2-9.

Stewartstown secured two vital points in their efforts to get away from the danger zone when they defeated Gortin at home on Friday night. The Harps led 0-8 to 0-5 at the short whistle with Gareth Devlin, Paul Dillon and Dan Lowe among their points, Sean Og McAleer and Shane Clarke on target for Gortin. Devlin bagged an early second half goal and while McAleer had a penalty for the visitors it finished 1-14 to 1-9, Devlin, Dillon, McAleer and Peter Keenan with second half points for their respective sides.

Cookstown picked up a massive win when they had the minimum to spare over Strabane. John Gilmore and Mickey Logue got goals for their respective sides in the first half with Martin Murray, Conor O’Hare, Warner Mullen and Rory Gormley among the points as the Father Rocks led 1-8 to 1-6 at the break. An early second half Mullen goal helped level matters but points from James McGahan, Gilmore and Matthew Carberry saw Cookstown take the spoils.

Beragh were another side who had the minimum to spare at the final whistle as they edged the verdict in Greencastle. Cahir McCullagh weighed in with half of the home side’s tally with Paddy McElhatton and Conor Carson also on target. Cathal Owens, Ben McSorley and Niall Owens were among the points for the Red Knights with Matthew McSorley getting the only goal of the game at the end of the first half.

Loughmacrory remain firmly in the hunt for the league title after making home advantage count against Moortown. Niall Donaghy got the goal for the St.Theresas with Pauraic Meenagh, Stephen Donaghy, Cathal Donaghy and defender Shane Dobbs all weighing in with points for them. Peter Devlin and Brian McLernon got the goals for the Loughshore men.

Newtownstewart collected two crucial points in their relegation fight when they saw off the challenge of Aghyaran on home soil. It was honours even at the break 0-7 to 1-4 with Aidan McSorley leading the way in the scoring stakes for the home side and Brian Penrose getting the St.Davogs goal. A two gaol blast at the start of the second half from Brendan Boyle and McSorley saw Newtownstewart take control and they never looked back. Benny Gallen and Ronan McNamee had points for the visitors but they finished with fourteen men as Newtownstewart closed the game out with an insurance score from Kevin Gallagher.

Owen Roes turned on the style at home to Urney to record an emphatic victory. Seamus Dooher, Michael Dooher and Cathal McShane all found the net in the second half with the latter also scoring a number of points. A Conor Catterson goal had kept Urney in contention by the short whistle but despite points from Fergal McNulty and Johnny Lafferty they ended up well beaten.

Championship finalists Pomeroy remain well placed in second spot in the table after beating Clogher at Plunkett Park. Ryan Loughran and Gavin Goodfellow bagged goals in each half for the winners with Frank Burns, Kieran McGeary, Lorcan Kilpatrick and Kieran McKenna featuring among their points. Conor Shields was in superb form for the Eire Ogs with a number of points with Mark Bogue and Ciaran Shields also on target while Ryan McCaughey got their goal.
