An early second half goal from Peter Armour proved the crucial score as Stewartstown picked up a vital win over Clogher on Friday evening. Conor Shields, Barry McKenna and Jamie Callaghan were among the points for the Eire Ogs with Gareth Devlin, Dan Lowe and Paul Dillon on target for the Harps.
There was a sensational finish at Loughmacrory as the home side bagged three goals in the last six minutes to beat newly crowned championship winners Galbally. The Pearses looked set to complete the double when they led 2-9 to 0-3 at the break with Cormac Donnelly and Daniel Kerr getting their goals. The Gallagher brothers Diarmuid and Cathaoir got early second half majors for Loughmacrory but points from Conor Donaghy had the visitors still well in front. Two goals from Conall Grimes changed things before Diarmuid Gallagher proved to be the hero with an injury time strike to keep the race for the league title still wide open.
Moortown travelled to Father Hackett Park and came away with a good win against Augher. Martin McElhatton got the only goal of the game for the hosts with Darragh Kavanagh and Raymond McElroy among their points but the Loughshore men were full value for their victory with Tony Quinn, Paul Quinn and Thomas Doris among their scorers.
Newtownstewart gave their survival hopes a huge shot in the arm with a win away to fellow strugglers Cookstown. Brendan Boyle got their goal early on and he was among the points as well as was Aidan McSorley. Conor O’Hare and James McGahan both found the net for the Father Rocks but it wasn’t enough.
Goals from Ryan Loughran, Aidan Woods and Olly McCreesh saw Pomeroy gain a convincing win away to Beragh. Jack Campbell and Oisin Donnelly both found the net for the Red Knights with the latter also weighing in with a number of points.
Greencastle made home advantage count against Urney with Cahir McCullagh leading the way in the scoring stakes for them with a goal and a number of points with Paddy McElhatton and Barry McGarvey also on target. Johnny Lafferty bagged both goals for the St.Columbas with TJ Duffy weighing in with a few points.
