Galbally travelled to Pomeroy this afternoon and sent a message out to their rivals that they are going to be a serious threat to any team hoping to record Intermediate honours.  They won the match by ten points to spare after leading by just one at half time.  Former county man Mickey Murphy finished the match with 0-6 while Damian McCrory fired 1-2 for the Pearses.  Sean Murphy and county minor Ronan Nugent ended the match with 0-3 each.  The Pomeroy goal came from Ollie McCreesh while Hugh McNamee and Justin McCaffrey were also among the scorers.  Final Score – Pomeroy 1-9 Galbally 1-19

Kildress hosted Aghyaran at Gortacladdy today and they now have a 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 loses record thanks to a three point win.  Martin Grimes kicked the Kildress goal while Des Treacy and Frank McGurk were also on the score sheet for the Tonnes.  Aghyaran’s Aidan Connolly finished the match with 1-3 but his side failed to score in the second half.  Final Score – Kildress 1-8 Aghyaran 1-5

Gareth Devlin returned to action for Stewartstown this afternoon and he finished the game with 1-6.  Ryan Devlin and Mickey Mulgrew were also on the scoreboard for the very impressive Harps.  Stephen O’Neill kicked 0-6 for Clann na nGael who are continuing to struggle at the foot of the Intermediate table.  Final Score – Clann na nGael 1-8 Stewartstown 1-17

Niall Morgan proved that he has got his shooting boots well and truly back as he kicked 0-8 for Edendork in their derby win over Dungannon.  The St Malachy’s had just three points to spare over the Clarkes.  County man Darren McCurry was also on the score sheet for Edendork while Adam Mallon, Matthew Walsh, Kiefer Morgan struck points for Dungannon.  Patrick Quinn fired home the Dungannon goal.  Final Score – Edendork 0-17 Dungannon 1-11

Eskra and Urney finished level in the sixth round of the league today.  Peter Hughes was on hand to record half of Eskra’s points with Niall Marlow also recording scores.  Urney had Fergal McNulty and Johnny Lafferty to thank for the bulk of their scores.  Final Score – Eskra 0-8 Urney 0-8

Moortown remain top of Division 2 tonight after they hosted Brackaville and defeated them by eight points.  Conor Herron recorded 0-5 for the home side and the goal came from the boot of Karl Hagan,  Brackaville had only two points to show for their first half performance and they came from Ryan McHugh.  Martin Girvan got the second half goal for Brackaville but they were well beaten in the end by the table toppers.  Final Score – Moortown 1-12 Brackaville 1-4

Gortin’s three match winning streak came to an end in Derrytresk this afternoon.  It was Derrytresk’s ability to get goals that eased them to a six point victory.  Pat Campbell, Michael Robinson and Caolan Corr all recorded goals for the home side.  Mickey Mossey kicked 0-3 for Gortin and Peter Clarke got the St Patrick’s goal.  Final Score – Derrytresk 3-7 Gortin 1-7

Strabane remain hot on the heals of Moortown following an impressive away win over Rock.  Two goals either side of the break from John McLaughlin helped the Sigersons to victory.  Warner Mullan was also on the scoresheet for the visitors.  Rock had the McCreesh brothers Conor and Martin to thank for the majority of their scores but they remain perilously close to the bottom of the table on just two points from their opening six games.  Final Score – Rock 0-8 Strabane 2-5
