It was a very close first half between Killyman and Kildress with the Wolfe Tones ahead by one at the break leading 1-3 to 0-5. Damien Kelly hit 1-2 for his side while Kieran Og Hughes top scored for his side with 0-2 during a very competitive opening thirty minutes. The second thirty minutes saw the home side produce one of their best displays of the year as a goal from Paul Mc Veigh and points from Caolan Morgan and Ryan Hughes saw them edge a very competitive game 1-9 to 1-7. In what was something of a surprise defeat Matthew Heagney, Frank Mc Gurk and Damian Kelly got points for Kildress.

Things have become even tighter at the bottom of the table with Strabane losing heavily at home 1-12 to 0-6 with Edendork’s goal coming from Darren Mc Curry who also notched a number of points. Fergal McGavigan and Chris Devine had points for the Sigersons. Meanwhile Loughmacrory almost threw away a six point lead with an extra man at Newtownstewart but scored a last minute point to win 1-11 to 1-10 with the home side finishing with thirteen men. Paul Donnelly got the winners goal with Ryan Maise getting the St.Eugenes’ major. Augher did their chances of climbing the table no harm at all with a hard fought but deserved 2-9 to 1-9 victory.  A  goal in the opening minute of the second half from Aidan Mc Elroy was just the start the home side wanted but back came Aghyaran and with Aidan Connolly and Michael Anderson in fine form they pushed Augher all the way.

Gortin defeated Stewartstown in a championship dress rehersal 2-14 to 1-7. Kevin Mossey led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Patrick’s with his haul including a goal after Diarmuid McNulty had scored their first major. Gareth Devlin got the Harps’ goal on the night with Peter Armour and Owen Coyle among their points. Urney recorded a comfortable 1-12 to 0-7 win at home to Eskra with Fergal McNulty and Rory Lynch getting points for the St.Columbas and Mark Devine bagging the only goal of the game late on, Paul Turbitt and Joe McCarroll on target for the Emmetts.
