Augher played host to Loughmacrory at Father Hackett Park in an early Sunday afternoon throw in and the St.Macartans took the spoils on a 2-13 to 2-7 score line with Darragh Donnelly and Jamie Donnelly getting their goals, Pearse Gallagher and Ryan O’Brien finding the net for the visitors.
Galbally and Stewartstown shared the points after a thriller at Pearse Park. Dan Lowe had the Harps in front with a goal but Galbally fought back to lead at the break with Declan Murphy grabbing a major. In the second half it was point for point before a Mickey Murphy goal put the hosts in front. It looked like being a decisive score until Lowe found the net again and it took a late equaliser from county player Murphy to earn the home side a draw as it finished 2-13 each.
Killeeshil remain at the foot of Division 2 this evening after losing out by five points at home to Eskra. Mattie Turbitt got the goal for Eskra while Paul Hughes and Ryan Gartland were among the point scorers for the Emmetts. Moy recorded a comfortable eight point victory over newly promoted Derrytresk at home this afternoon but the game will be remembered for all of the wrong reasons after Tyrone star Sean Cavanagh picked up a serious shoulder injury. Before he was injured Cavanagh had contributed 0-4. Ryan O’Neill scored the only goal of the game for Moy at the start of the second half. Final Score – Moy 1-9 Derrytresk 0-4
At the sixth time of asking Gortin got their first two points of the season with an impressive win over Pomeroy at home. Kevin Mossey top scored for Gortin with 0-6 and it was Mossey that kicked over the winner for Gortin near the end. Final Score – Gortin 0-13 Pomeroy 1-9.
