Donaghmore Girls Win Junior League Title

The Ladies Junior League Final took place at Beragh between Loughmacrory and Donaghmore and in a very tight and competitive game it was Donaghmore who emerged winners by three points. Loughmacrory had dominated the opening thirty minutes but failed to capitalise on their territorial supremacy and the number of good scoring chances they created. They were four points ahead at the break but Donaghmore started the second half in blistering form hitting 1-2 in the first three minutes to move ahead. From then until the end it was nip and tuck but the Donaghmore girls held on to win 4-10 to 1-16 in the end. Best for the winners were Natalie Hughes, Rebecca Mc Crory and Aisling Conlon while Lisa Mc Aleer, Orla Toner and Nadine Kelly battled bravely for Loughmacrory.
