Donaghmore 0-5 Four Masters 1-8

Tyrone champions Donaghmore bowed out of the prestigious St.Pauls Ulster Minor Tournament at the semi final stage when they lost out to a strong Four Masters side in Belfast on St.Stephens Day.

The Donegal champions had a strong wind at their backs in the first half and they made good use of it to establish a 1-5 to 0-0 lead at the short whistle. The goal came courtesy of their top scorer Conor Meehan after only six minutes when he took advantage of a Donaghmore kick out being held up by the wind to run through and fire to the net. The same player added a few points with defender Caolan Sweeney also on target.

A free from Cormac Drayne got the Donaghmore challenge up and running in the early moments of the second half before James McCann and Noah Grimes reduced the deficit further. They couldn’t get through for a goal that their challenge so badly needed and Meehan and Senan Carr tagged on further points for the winners as they set up a decider with Derry champions Dungiven.
