Donegal U17s grabbed both points in Garvaghey against Tyrone in the Ulster League after they stunned their hosts with a last second goal.  The visitors did’t lead in the game until a 63rd minute goal secured the win.  A free from Donegal wing half back Kaolan McMonagle eventually found it’s way to the edge of the square and midfielder Jamie Crawford rose the highest to turn the ball to the net.

If truth be told it was the only bit of excitement in what was a very dull game.  The sides were level at the break 0-3 apiece with just a single point from play during the opening half hour.  Michael Conroy hit all of Tyrone’s scores from the dead ball while Conor O’Donnell and Peter McEniff were the Donegal scorers.

In the second half Tyrone opened up a three point lead by the 53rd minute 0-8 to 0-5 thanks to further scores from Cormac Dinghy, Michael Conroy and Aaron Montgomery.  The Tyrone side were hit for 1-2 in the final nine minutes thanks to points from Matthew McKenna and Kaolan McMonaghle and that late Crawford goal.  Final Score – Tyrone 0-8 Donegal 1-7.
