Donnelly Confirmed As Top Scorer

As expected there was no last day collapse from leader Jamie Donnelly as in fact he increased his lead to be deservedly crowned the Begleys Sports Division One top scorer for 2013. The Augher sharpshooter finished eighteen points clear of Leo Meenan and Paul Rouse who finished joint second. Jamie will receive two complimentary tickets to the eagerly awaited All-star banquet in the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran on the 29th of this month when he will receive his award from sponsors Begley Sports of Dungannon. Ironically none of the top three sides in division one had a scorer in the top ten with Cookstown’s Owen Mulligan the only player still in with a chance of winning a league medal although that depends on the Father Rocks beating Carrickmore in a playoff this Sunday.
