Tyrone minor football managers Mickey Donnelly and Kieran McHugh have added three players to their panel for the forthcoming defence of their Ulster and All-Ireland Minor football crowns.

The managerial duo announced a twenty seven man squad last Thursday evening, but prior to Saturday’s Ulster Shield semi final clash with Monaghan they included three further players.

All-Ireland winning goalkeeper Mark McReynolds is back on board for the championship having missed the league through injury and, McRory Cup commitments. The young Edendork club man was named in the 27 strong panel on Thursday, while Jonathan Munroe from Carrickmore, Stefan Lavery (Moy) and Matthew Jones (Eglish) have been drafted into the panel.

All three additions featured in the shield semi final game against Monaghan, at the weekend. Lavery and Jones both started the game while Munroe was sprung from the bench as a second half substitute. Lavery scored a point in the process, while a worry for the managerial team was the fact that Enda McGahan and Jones both failed to see out the action after picking up injuries. McGahan only lasted two minutes while Jones was forced out in the closing stages, as Tyrone produced a stunning revival to turn a five point deficit into a one point victory.

Donegal await in the final this coming Saturday.
