Double Disappointment For Tyrone Duo.
Omagh and Trillick both finished up as runners up in their quest to become All Ireland Champions this afternoon in the final of Scor na nOg in Castlebar. Omagh performed very well but were unlucky on the day to come up against an Offaly group that delivered a flawless performance and were deserving winners. Scor officer David Tierney was disappointed but proud of how the group performed. “They were up against a really good group from Offaly but we are very proud of them. They performed really well and although they are disappointed not to win we hope they will learn from this and come back again next year”.
Trillick were pipped in the quiz by a Westmeath team that missed only two questions during the entire quiz. However this is a very young Trillick team and we can expect them to be back competing at the highest level again next year.
