Dromore Aiming For Ulster Glory
Friday 31.10.2014
Dromore ladies head to Celtic Park this weekend hoping to end on a high what has been a superb season so far. Having regrouped from relegation last year the aim for this season was to work hard and regain intermediate status.
The girls sacrificed a lot to make it home for training and games but all the effort proved worthwhile when the County title was lifted following an excellent display in the final.
The Ulster Club series has proved to be something of a bonus but once again the girls have shown their willingness to put the shoulders to the wheel and that commitment has taken them to the final where they face a more than decent Carndonagh side.
Dromore’s preparations have been hampered slightly by injury concerns over Aoife Hunter and Ciara Mc Mahon with a decision on their inclusion likely to be left to the last minute. The venue for the final is Celtic Park with a 2pm starting time. Dromore will be hoping that Orla O’Neill, Emma Smyth and their team mates can put the seal on a historic year and bring the provincial title back to Gardrum Park.
Our thanks to Martin Mc Glone for supplying us not only with these photos but for many others throughout the year.
