Dromore Lift Grade One Title
Saturday 28.05.2011

Dromore lifted the grade one U14 championship title on Saturday afternoon when they defeated Coalisland 4-10 to 3-8 at Father Hackett Park Augher. The St.Dympnas were against the wind in the first half but they got off to a dream start with a Peter Teague goal after only three minutes. Tiarnan Teague responded with a few points for the Fianna but goals from Emmett McNabb and Tiarnan Sludden left Dromore 3-6 to 0-5 at the break. Coalisland defender Ronan Morgan bagged a goal within a minute of the restart but they then had a player sent off. Despite that setback a penalty goal from Gerard Woods took them right back into contention. Declan McNulty had a couple of Dromore points before Woods got his second goal but almost immediately Dromore responded with a McNabb goal as they emerged deserving winners.
