Drumquin Make It Into Last Four Of U14 League.

Drumquin Wolfe Tones qualified for the semi final of the under 14 league competition with a very convincing win over Omagh B tonight. The winners were in control from early on and ran up an emphatic scoreline of 5-13 to 1-2 in their quarter final tie. James Mc Donagh top scored for his side with 2-2 while Joe Gormley also contributed two fine goals for the winners. Conor Mc Hugh netted Drumquin’s fifth goal on the night while Gary Mc Conomy and Cormac Rodgers landed three points each. The remaining scores came from James O’Kane, Stephen Anthony, Stephen Mc Goldrick and Chris Brown. The winners now meet Killyclogher in the semi final which is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon in Strabane. Drumquin will be going into this game in confident mood having already beaten Killyclogher twice this year in the league but the Ballinamullen lads have been improving steadily throughout the competition and will relish the chance of playing in the last four of the league.
