Drumquin Snatch Late Draw

Drumquin and Dregish shared the points in Wednesday evening’s rearranged Division Three league fixture but it took a couple of injury time points from the home side to deny Dregish the win. In a low scoring first half Drumquin’s Stephen Gormley bagged an early goal that put his side in a strong position and they reached the break two in front on a score line of 1-3 to 0-4. Drumquin’s other scorers in the first period were Costin Mallon[2] and Barry Glackin.
Dregish will look at this one as a point dropped having managed to battle hard and open a two point lead as the game entered injury time. Aidan O’Kane top scored again for his side with six points while Peter Mc Crossan{2], Ronan Glackin, Stevie Breen and Niall O’Kane also found the target. Unfortunately for Dregish they conceded two late points courtesy of Barry Gormley and Lilly Patterson which meant the game finished all square on a final score of 1-8 to 0-11.
