Drumragh Get The Better Of Glenelly

Drumragh produced a superb second half display at Loughmacrory on Sunday evening to defeat Glenelly and make it through to the quarter finals of the Connolly’s of Moy Junior Championship.
Playing wind assisted the north Tyrone side were on top throughout the first half but missed a number of scoring opportunities.
They enjoyed plenty of possession and reached the break leading 1-7 to 0-6. Rory Kennedy, Cormac Mc Bride, Cathal O’Neill and Eamon Mc Connell all contributed points for Glenelly while Lorcan Mc Cullagh’s goal eleven minutes into the game helped to put his side in pole position at the break.
Drumragh struggled to make a real impact in the first half but had scores from Niall Mc Carney, Daniel O’Neill and Kien Murphy which helped to keep them in the game. Things changed however after the break with the introduction of subs Sean Mc Gale, Ryan Maguire and Eoin and Aaron Montgomery.
Scores from Daniel O’Neill, Eoin Montgomery and Niall Mc Carney had Drumragh in front. A converted penalty from Mc Carney stretched the lead before Ronan O’Kane landed a two pointer for Glenelly to get his team back in the contest. However Drumragh finished the half strongly adding a superb individual goal from Daniel O’Neill and points from Sean Mc Gale and Ronan Maguire.
