Drumragh’s Great Achievement An Inspiration To All.
Monday 29.08.2011

What a fantastic achievement for Drumragh Sarsfields and all their supporters as they completed the Great Solo Run to Croke Park on Sunday. The organisation, preparation and planning that had gone into the project was military like in its execution and detail but it was all more than worthwhile as they completed the journey in good time early on Sunday afternoon.
Coming past Glasnevin cemetery with Croke Park in their sights must have been a huge relief to all involved as the long journey, which had begun back at Clanabogan on Saturday morning was nearing completion. There were many memorable moments along the way including being joined by Tyrone manager Mickey Harte, his son Mark, son in law John Mc Areavey and former county star Peter Canavan. Thousands of pounds were raised and much of that will go to The Michaela Foundation but the satisfaction of a job very well done will be the abiding memory of a truly fantastic weekend for the club.
Congratulations to all involved from teamtalkmag.com as once again another Tyrone club shows that being a member of a GAA club is more about doing than just being. Drumragh Sarsfields have raised the bar and are an inspiration to us all.
