Eglish Into Decider
Eglish are into the grade one U21 final following a superb 0-10 to 0-6 win over a fancied Ardboe side at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown on Wednesday evening. Ardboe dominated early on to establish a 0-4 to 0-1 lead with Anthony Devlin, Kyle Coney and Gavin Teague all on target but in the final five minutes of the opening half Eglish landed five unanswered scores from Sean McKillion , Emmett McKenna, Gregory Jordan and Conor McCann to take a lead that they were never to lose. Philip Barker and Devlin traded points on the restart before McKillion and half back Conal McNulty put the St.Patricks further in front. Coney then hit a brilliant point from sixty metres out but that proved to be Ardboe’s last score of the game and a fourth point from centre half forward McKillion proved to be the insurance score.
