Eglish Prove Too Strong For Wolfe Tones

League champions Eglish proved too strong for a gallant Kildress side in the opening round of the LCC Group Intermediate championship in Dungannon on Saturday afternoon.

The St.Patricks led 1-11 to 1-6 at the break with Emmett McKenna, Colm Byrne, Peter McCann, Seamus Muldoon and Caolan Daly among their points while their goal was an own goal. Philip Lennon got a few points for Kildress while he also got their goal from the penalty spot with Enda McAleer and Matthew McGuigan also on target.

Ethan Jordan had a brace with Peter McCann and Conor McCann also on target on the restart before Pauric Lagan opened Kildress’s second half account. McKenna, Muldoon and Johnny Jordan all tagged on points for the winners and while Lagan and Martin McGurk replied for Kildress it finished 1-18 to 1-10.
