Eimear Colton Wins Poc Fada

Tyrone and Naomh Treasa goalkeeper Eimear Colton recently made the long run up to Shane O’Neill’s club in Glenarm  to compete in the Poc Fada. The venue was superb, the welcome was warm and the result was just what the doctor ordered.

The event was hosted on an excellent course and was about 5 minutes drive up from the club house. The course was about 2.3km long through not the best of terrain but all things considered there was little to complain about as the weather remained overcast but dry.

Eimear did not make the best of starts  taking four or five strikes to get her eye in but once she got her footing right barring a few wobbles the first half of it the striking was relatively smooth.

By the time they came round the bend of the course to the second half the Tyrone champ had settled down and was fit to just finish it out well thankfully. Also a special shout out to Una Aoife and Daithi for coming and helping with the spotting and ensuring there were no lost balls.
