Tyrone Camogie Under 16 league final

Éire Óg Under 16s travelled to Edendork to take on the home in the first league final of the year. The  teams had met previously in the first game of the season a game which Edendork won by a single point. The teams were evenly matched throughout the game with both defences remaining tight and making it very difficult for either team to rack up scores.

Throughout the game there were many stoppages and both teams scored in injury time in the first half with Carrickmore’s Annie Loughran hitting the net. Edendork responded positively with a fine score from the stick of Catherine Moohan getting a point to send the teams off at the break Edendork 0-3,  Éire Óg 1-2.

The second half continued in in the same vein with some excellent runs by midfield and forwards but both goalkeepers were in top form and fullbacks including player of the match Aobh Bennett keeping both teams in play. By full-time the teams were tied 0-8 to 1-5 but as previously all lot of stoppage time had accrued during which Éire Óg struck for a goal from Katie Marley. Ultimately the difference between the teams who scored eight times apiece was the goal opportunities being taken.

Result: Éire Óg 2-6 Edendork 0-8
