Remember the name Aaron Elliott. He was the man doing the damage up front for Clonoe O’Rahilly’s as they added to last months senior triumph by adding the Senior Reserves football championship in Edendork this afternoon. Elliott fired home 2-2 for Clonoe but he was ably assisted by Daryl Magee who finished the game with 0-4.

The nine point win for the Rahillys looked very comfortable but it took them some time to get started. Coalisland were three nil up after just eight minutes thanks to points from Martin Hughes, Philly Toner and Joe Herron. Clonoe’s first score didn’t arrive until the 17th minute but they kicked three in a row thanks to Magee, Martin Hughes and Niall Kilpatrick. Then came Elliotts first goal before the break.

He should have fired home a second goal in the 33rd minute but elected to shoot for a point. A minute later he did find the net and by the 48th minute Clonoe had moved 2-9 to 0-7 up. A final point from the excellent Daryl Magee concluded the scoring in the 56th minute. Final Score – Clonoe 2-10 Coalisland 0-7
