Enda Mc Ginley Takes On Antrim Challenge
Sunday 22.11.2020
While much of the talk and discussion over the past few weeks has focused on Mickey Harte’s inter county future, another Errigal Ciaran man has been busy in the background putting together a more than capable management team for his first crack at taking charge of a senior county side.
Former Tyrone star Enda Mc Ginley has accepted the offer to become the new manager of Antrim following the recent resignation of Lenny Harbinson. Included in his back room team will be former Tyrone ace Stephen O’Neill who previously worked for a while as forwards coach under Mickey Harte. O’Neill’s approach was very well received by the players and he was credited by many with being the man who turned Cathal Mc Shane into an Allstar full forward.
The Tyrone duo will be keen to hit the ground running with Enda’s “Antrim connections” sure to be of help as he sets about changing the fortunes of the Saffrons. We wish both men well in their endeavours and will keep a close eye on how they progress. Should things go well for them it is unlikely that the Antrim job will be their last.
