Dungannon Eoghan Ruadh and Naomh Colm Cille served up an entertaining senior hurling semi final at Garvaghey on Tuesday evening before Eoghan Ruadh prevailed on a score line of 1-14 to 0-8.

There was little between the sides in a closely fought first half with Cathal Mc Erlean’s twenty seventh minute goal for Dungannon proving to be the decisive score of the opening period. Philly Barker and Damien Casey were on target for Eoghan Ruadh while Seamus O’Neill and Ryan “Mor” O’Neill pointed for Naomh Colm Cille.

The second half under the lights saw the pace increase and with it the quality of the hurling. The exchanges became even more competitive and several yellow cards were flashed before Naomh Colm Cille were reduced to fourteen men ;ate in the game. Damien Casey displayed his normal aplomb from placed balls with five second half points which helped ensure Eoghan Ruadh made it through to the final on a winning score of 1-14 to 0-8.
