Tyrone Grade 1 Under 15 Championship Final

Errigal Ciaran 3-8 Loughmacrory 0-9

Errigal Ciaran under fifteens claimed the grade one championship title after a very assured performance against Loughmacrory at Healy Park on Sunday. The Dunmoyle lads got off to the perfect start with a fine fifth minute goal from Keenan Adams and although Loughmacrory produced a superb second half it was not enough to prevent Errigal from claiming the title on a 3-8 to 0-9 scoreline. The loch lads will look back on this one with a certain amount of regret over the number of missed chances they had particularly in the first half.

Adams’ goal was quickly followed by points from Senan Canavan and Dan Loughran before Elliott Kerr hit the net for his team’s second goal.

Loughmacrory were under pressure and goalkeeper Darragh Duddy along with Rory Kelly, Eoin Mc Elduff, Ciaran Mc Crystal, Caolan Grimes and Ciaran Mc Crystal  had their hands full dealing with the pace and movement of the Errigal lads. Shea Mc Dermott struck for his team’s third goal of the game as Errigal stretched their lead to twelve points.

Lorcan Meenagh finally opened the Loch account just before the break to send the teams in at the short whistle with Errigal Ciaran leading 3-3 to 0-1.

Loughmacrory were much improved after the break and led by the excellent Caolan Grimes (0-6) and Michael Mc Namee (0-2) the Loch reduced the gap to seven on a final score line of 3-7 to 0-9.

Scorers: Errigal Ciaran; Keenan Adams 1-0, Senan Canavan 0-1, Dan Loughran 0-2, Elliot Kerr 1-0, Ciaran Mullin 0-2, Shea Mc Dermott 1-1, Aodhan Quinn 0-1

Loughmacrory: Caolan Grimes 0-6, Pearse Mc Donald 0-1, Lorcan Meenagh 0-1 and Michael Mc Namee 0-1
