Errigal Ciaran Into Minor League Semi Final

Errigal Ciaran are through to the semi finals of the grade one minor league after edging past Ardboe on Monday evening in a cracking encounter that required extra time to decide the winner. The Dunmoyle lads led 0-8 to 1-3 at half time but the Rossas drew level to force extra time. In extra time Ardboe scored the first three points but Errigal Ciaran answered that with a trio of points as well to level matters once again. It was nip and tuck before Fintan Kelly proved to be the match winner as it finished 1-18 to 3-11. Michael McCann top scored for the winners with half a dozen points while Kelly scored 1-2 with his goal coming from the penalty spot. Sean McKenna [4], Fergal Kelly [3], Eamon Donnelly, Declan Quinn and Niall Quinn were their other marksmen on the night.
