Errigal Girls Lose In Feile Semi.

While Galbally missed out on reaching the play off stages of Feile Errigal Ciaran girls were battling their way through to the semi final. They enjoyed a comprehensive victory over host side Inch Rovers winning 11-7 to a point before defeating Erin’s Own this morning 2-7 to 0-3. Their final sectional game saw them facing the other unbeaten side St Jude’s of Dublin in a very physical encounter that finished all square on a scoreline of Errigal Ciaran 1-4 St Jude’s 2-1. St Jude’s two goals were scored by Lucy Butler who has connections in Cookstown. This result put the Tyrone girls through on score difference as a result of their high scoring win in their opening game. There they faced a very strong Cork outfit who proved just too strong in the end but the girls can be justly proud of how they carried themselves throughout.
