Errigal Through To League Final
Sunday 04.11.2018
Defending league champions Errigal Ciaran are back in the final again after beating Dromore 3-9 to 1-7 in Dunmoyle. Peter Harte opened the scoring with a 7th minute penalty but that score was quickly cancelled out by a spot kick at the other end of the field from Ruairi Sludden. In the next attack though Darragh Canavan hit a superb goal for the winners and with Eoin McCusker and Ronan McRory swapping points it was 2-4 to 1-4 at the interval.
In the opening ten minutes of the second half the visitors hit a number of wides and Errigal took advantage with points from Padraig McGirr and defender Damian McDermott. Ruairi Sludden, Ciaran McCoy and Niall Sludden had Dromore points but they failed to score in the last seven minutes. Canavan scored from a free as well as from play with McDermott getting a goal sandwiched in between as they moved into a final meeting with Omagh.
