Errigal Ciaran will continue their quest for Ulster honours when they take on Derry champions Ballinderry in the stand out quarter final tie at Healy Park on Sunday afternoon. After bridging a six year gap to deny Dromore back to back O’Neill Cup triumphs the Dunmoyle based men easily accounted for Cavan champions Mullahoran in the preliminary round last time out.

It’s a meeting between two clubs who know what it takes to go all the way to Provincial glory with the second of Errigal Ciaran’s triumphs coming exactly a decade ago. A few months earlier Ballinderry had tasted All Ireland success when accounting for Nemo Rangers on St.Patricks Day and they go into this game with a few survivors from that all conquering side. They have quality players in the form of Kevin McGuckin, Enda Muldoon, James Conway, Conleith Gilligan, Colin Devlin and Aaron Devlin.

The majority of this Errigal Ciaran side are experiencing Ulster Club action for the first time in their careers and they will relish the task that lies ahead. They have quality players throughout their side such as Aidan McCrory, Peter Harte, John Devine, Ronan McRory, Davy Harte, Enda McGinley and Bryan Horisk and a cracking encounter is on the cards.
