Exciting new GAA Handball season in Tyrone to start.
Thursday 31.10.2013
Following another impressive run of success in the traditional 60×30 court at National level by Tyrone players, there will be renewed interest and considerable focus from all quarters of the GAA family in Tyrone with the start of a new 40×20 season. The re-introduction of the Tyrone GAA Handball Leagues has sparked major interest and with the county now thriving with one of the most competitive structures in the country, the upcoming Tyrone Attic Stairs GAA Handball 40×20 Leagues for adults and juveniles promises a festival of top class handball in the build-up to the festive period.
In operating the new Tyrone GAA Handball Strategic Plan, the Tyrone GAA Handball committee are launching a One Wall Tournament for GAA Club players, who are not presently playing handball in Tyrone GAA Handball Leagues and championships. This further enhances the continued work with Tyrone GAA to ensure participation of all the family of gaelic games at club and county level. The introduction and rapid growth of one wall handball in particular has facilitated such a venture by the county committee and it is anticipated there will be many GAA Clubs in Tyrone avail of this exciting new initiative. Final formats, fixtures and planning for the event will be decided at a Tyrone GAA Handball Committee meeting following receipt of all entries from GAA Clubs and assessment of entry numbers.
