Ardboe O’Donovan Rossas have turned to one of their own in the quest to return them to the pinnacle of Tyrone club football. The lough shore side lost out to eventual champions Dromore after a replay under the guidance of county minor manager Micky Donnelly this year but have appointed former club stalwart Fay Devlin to take charge for the new season. The ex Tyrone corner back was ratified at the club’s Annual General Meeting this week. At this stage the make-up of his backroom team has not been decided but Fay will be hoping that with Brian Mc Guigan concentrating solely on club football Ardboe can make good on the promise they have shown over the past few seasons and bring the O’Neill Cup back to Coney Park. Devlin was an integral part of the last Ardboe side to win the county title when they defeated Omagh in the 1998 final at Pomeroy.
