Feile Victories For Dromore and Rock

Garvaghey hosted the semi finals and finals of the Grade One and Two Feile competitions this evening and huge numbers attended as the eight teams present produced six superb games of football. Rock overcame Eglish in their semi final to set up a clash with a very impressive Castlederg side who accounted for a game Killyclogher Development Squad in their last four clash. There was little between the two teams throughout the game and it was no surprise that extra time was required to separate them. It was Rock who prevailed in additional time as they hit the net on a couple of occasions to win by ten points in the end.
Meanwhile in the Grade One competition the form teams coming into the semi finals were Dromore and Moortown and although both sides were pushed hard by Killyclogher and Killeeshil respectively in their games they deservedly made it through to the final. Once again the standard of play was superb with excellent scores, superb tackling and high quality action throughout. Dromore’s greater physicality told in the end and they were deserving 4-6 to 1-4 winners in the end.
The trophies were presented by Tyrone players Joe McMahon, Dermot Carlin, Cathal Mc Carron and Kyle Coney.
