Festival of Football at the Donnelly Cup 2023

Ballinamullan which is the home of Killyclogher GAA hosted the Donnelly Cup on Friday 16th June 2023.  This annual primary schools tournament involved primary schools in the Cappagh Parish competing for silverware.  This year’s event saw teams from Christ the King, St Brigid’s Mountfield, St Eugene’s Tircur , Gaelscoil na gCrann, St Ronan’s Recarsonalong with Omagh Integrated and St Mary’s Killyclogher all taking part.

The grounds were a hive of activity with teams descending in the morning to the pristine grounds at Ballinamullan.  The teams showcased their skills and talents and there were many exciting matches in the group stages.

The finals in each category were held and the winners and runners-up in each category were as follows:

Donnelly Cup (Boys)

Winner – St Mary’s Killyclogher

Runner up – St Ronans’s Recarson

Ballinamullan Cup (Girls)

Winner – St Ronan’s Recarson

Runner up – St Mary’s Killyclogher

Corn Na Cheid Cup (Mixed)

Winner – Omagh Integrated

Runner up – St Brigid’s Mountfield

Ballinamullan Shield (Boys)

Winner – St Mary’s Killyclogher

Runner up – Gaelscoil na cGrann

Cappagh Shield (Girls)

Winner – Gaelscoil na cGrann

Runner up – Christ the King

Centenary Shield (Mixed)

Winner – St Eugene’s Tircur

Runner up – St Ronan’s Recarson

Cappagh Cup (Boys)

Winner – Christ the King

Runner up – St Mary’s Killyclogher

Presentations were made by the Chairman of KillyclogherGAA and thanks were extended to the schools and teachers for supporting the competition.  Thanks were also extended to all the referees and organising committee.
