Fianna Bow Out Of Paul McGirr Cup

Coalisland’s hopes of adding the Paul McGirr Cup to their Tyrone U16 championship title ended at the quarter final stage over the weekend when they lost out to Down champions Rostrevor. The Mourne lads were physically stronger than the Fianna and with only two of their starting fifteen underage next year again they were always going to be difficult opponents. Sean Corr was Coalisland’s best player on the day in midfield with Cormac O’Hagan [1-1], Shea Oliver [1-0], Cathaoir Quinn [0-2], Eoghan Hampsey [0-2] and Gerard Quinn [0-1] their scorers as they lost out 3-10 to 2-6.
