Fianna Take U14 Championship Title

Coalisland Fianna defeated Cappagh in the Grade 2 championship final played at Augher on Sunday afternoon. It was a bit of a rush for the Cappagh supporters many of whom had just left Dunmoyle where they had watched their girls minor side defeat Macartans in a thrilling final.

There were no Cappagh celebrations after this game however as Coalisland bossed the game from early on with player of the match and joint team captain Tommy O’Neill hitting 1-9.

Cappagh scorers on the day were Oran Mc Cartan and Joe Chisholm but Coalisland were not to be denied and they took the title on a score line of 3-11 to 1-5 .
