Tyrone Minors Stage Second-Half Comeback to Defeat Wicklow.

After the postponement of last week’s Ulster final, the Tyrone minor
camogs kicked off their All-Ireland campaign this weekend with a home
game against Wicklow.
Catherine Moohan opened the scoring, but Wicklow’s Catherine Bourke
quickly levelled the contest. Moohan added three more points, but Aisling
and Eimear O’Toole responded strongly, pushing Wicklow into the lead.
Despite a goal from Claire McAleer, the home side went into the break
trailing by two goals.

Tyrone emerged a different team in the second half, with scores from
Moohan, Aoife Grogan, and Emer Cunningham—fresh from her recent
recognition by Ulster Camogie—adding to the tally. Wicklow managed
only a single point in the second half as Tyrone dominated possession.
The home side’s defence led by Niamh McElduff—who even ventured
forward to score—held firm to shut down Wicklow’s attacks.
With this victory secured, Tyrone now turn their attention to their next
fixture in two weeks when they travel to Mayo for the second round.
