Fintona Host Successful U14 Tournament

Fintona Pearses recently hosted their U14 tournament welcoming teams from across Ulster to compete for the Marron Cup and St Lawrence’s Shield.
Despite a wet and windy day , fixtures went ahead and all braved the weather and had an enjoyable day. Two Tyrone teams took the top spots this year .
Trillick beat host team Fintona by 1 point to secure a place in the final against Burren Co Down. Extra time had to be played before Trillick claimed the Cup title . Player of the Cup – Charlie Donnelly Trillick.
The Shield was an all Tyrone final with Moy and Errigal Ciaran meeting before the Dunmoyle club emerged victorious with Moy’s Ryan Mc Alary picking up player of the Shield.
As well as Tyrone clubs Cappagh , Dromore, Tattyreagh , Errigal Ciaran , Moy, Trillick , Clonoe and Fintona teams from Bellaghy, Burren, Clonduff, An Riocht , Emyvale , Tempo and Derrygonnelly also took part .
