First Defeat For Dungannon

St.Patricks Academy Dungannon lost for the first time in this season’s Corn na Og competition when they were well beaten by Abbey CBS at Mullaghbrack on Tuesday afternoon. It was a game that the Newry lads controlled from start to finish as they ran out emphatic 3-19 to 0-4 winners with Ross Lavery and Enda McGarrity getting a couple of points each for the Academy. It leaves the Tyrone lads with their work cut out to make the knockout stages with difficult games coming up against both St.Michaels Enniskillen and St.Macartans Monaghan. Meanwhile Omagh CBS will bid to make it three wins out of three in the same competition when they face a fancied St.Pats Cavan side at Brookeborough tomorrow afternoon with a 2.30 throw in.
