First Points For Harps

After two defeats Stewartstown collected their first points of the campaign following a 2-11 to 1-12 success away to a Fintona side who were making their first appearance of the season. The visitors played well in the first half on their way to establishing a 1-9 to 0-7 lead. Defender Conor Quinn got the goal with Shea O’Neill, Dan Lowe, Gareth Devlin, Aaron McCarney and Conan Hegarty among the points for their respective sides. The opening score of the second half was a goal for the Harps from Conor McElhatton to leave them in a very strong position. Fintona came with a late rally that included points from McCarney and Jared Brogan either side of a Cathal Starr goal but Stewartstown held out to take the spoils.
