Moortown picked up their first points since their return to senior football when they defeated Moy 1-12 to 0-11 at home on Saturday afternoon. Having lost their first three fixtures of the season the St Malachy’s would have seen this game as an ideal opportunity to move away from the foot of the table. Ronan Devlin scored the only goal of the game for the home side with Philip Muldoon, Karl Hagan and Colum Campbell all featuring among the points for a result that leaves both sides with two league points from four outings. Sean Cavanagh and Ryan Mellon led the way in the scoring stakes for the visitors with eight points between them.
