First Win For Tyrone Hurlers.

Tyrone hurlers recorded their first victory of the season following a 2-15 to 0-17 win over Monaghan in the Allianz League.

Once again Tyrone were indebted to ace marksman Damien Casey who bagged 2-11 of his side’s total including eight frees and two fine sideline cuts.

Tyrone reached the break with a two point lead 1-7 to 0-8. In addition to Casey’s 1-4 Aidan Kelly, Peadar Daly and Liam Armstrong each hit the target during a close and competitive opening thirty five minutes.

Mattie Lennon’s team showed great commitment in the second period and with Damien Casey in such good form they ran out deserving winners on a final score of 2-15 to 0-17.
