Friday refixture for county vocationals
Thursday 27.01.2011
Tyrone vocationals meet Monaghan in their rescheduled Ulster semi-final tomorrow(Friday) in Donagh at 1-30pm, writes Damien Donnelly.
Frost halted last week’s intended tussle but hopefully the weather will be more amenable this time around for a competition that is already behind in timetable terms.
The winners of this semi-final at the St Patrick’s club grounds are likely to have to play the Ulster Inter-County Cup decider against Donegal as early as next week but neither team will be thinking beyond Friday’s penultimate round.
The Oriel County are the current title holders. They have some players still on board from last season plus a new influx.
Tyrone are in a similar boat but the Red Hands have one game under their championship belt already with a workmanlike win over Cavan before Christmas.
