When Fulham Irish take the field at Ruislip this Sunday afternoon for the London SFC Final against Tir Chonaill Gaels there will be a strong Tyrone influence within their ranks.

This will be Fulham Irish’s third senior final and they will be hoping to get their hands on the title for the second time having gone all the way in 2010. Indeed they will be hoping it’s a double celebration as they are also in the Reserve Final.

Founded in 2006 by John Doyle, Liam Barry and Mike Rice, the Club President is Eskra native Seamus McNelis while another Tyrone Gael, Brendan Dolan, is also a prominent figure. Down All Ireland winner Gregory McCartan is the manager and part of his backroom team is Galbally’s Mickey Donaghy.

They have thirty-three players in their squad with all 4 Provinces represented as well as 14 Counties and 27 Clubs. From a playing point of view Tyrone have eight representatives within their squad. Triple All Ireland senior winner Owen Mulligan leads their attack from centre half forward and a team mate of the Cookstown man from Tyrone’s All Ireland success in 2005, Galbally’s Mickey Murphy, lines out in midfield. At full forward on the side is Killeeshil’s Martin Hughes with Dungannon duo Christopher Foley and Paul McGirr, Carrickmore’s Brendan Martin, Eskra’s James McNeilis and Dromore’s Barry McCann all among the substitutes.

Best wishes at everyone at TTM go to one of our loyal sponsors Seamus McNeilis and everyone connected with Fulham Irish.
